Pool renovation in Phoenix summer heat

Good morning, I have a fiberglass pool (I believe it is over concrete) that I have been obtaining quotes to remove and replace with mini pebble. A friend told me it was not a good idea to do this in the summer because of the temperatures in Phoenix. I wanted to see if this was an accurate statement. Thank you.

Welcome

If you waited for everything to be perfect then you would never do anything. It's not ideal to apply plaster when the temperatures are above 80-90 degrees but that can be combated by tenting the pool or setting up misters.

I would imagine your plasterer is well versed in dealing with the heat and if they are comfortable with it, you should be too...

My pool was just plastered today in Vegas when it was 115 degrees. There are lots of pools being plastered all summer long here, so much that some companies are booked out about 4-6 weeks, so it must be acceptable, although not perfectly ideal.
