Ok so I'm posting this here because a lot of people visit this page, and two I'm just getting started actively learning pool care and I need a good set of goggles! My head is to big for any goggles from Walmart to fit comfortably! Its not the straps, its the eye pieces! I'm looking for a decent pair of large frame goggles. any recommendations?

What about something like this? - Should fit most 'big heads' ...

Costco has those whole face type snorkle masks for sale. Those might work better than goggles and don't need to seal around your eyes to work. Also seen them on Amazon. We plan on getting a few sets for the family to use in the pool.

On the whole face snorkel mask things - I would be a little careful.

I do lots of snorkeling and the full face units are probably only good for floating and very light swimming - they don't work well for hard breathing (think exercising), due to the fact that the air output/input is limited to the size of the air opening, and the entire face area fills with expired air that mixes with the incoming new air before it gets to your lungs - reducing the oxygen you get in each breath.

In Hawaii there are a few investigations regarding several drowning deaths attributed to the full face masks...

Big, big fan of the full face snorkel masks on amazon. And yes they're meant for pool only, not ocean use.

But do beware to make sure the mask eye line viewing area is flat, not round.
The round ones do some odd magnification under water. The pool walls look distorted and way closer than they actually are.

Some of the brands leak badly even though they are the same style. After 2 attempts I have a good leak free one.

Hate getting water in my nose so I like these best compared to goggles. Even the nose protected goggles fit
oddly on my head and didn't work well so I gave them to my niece who did well with them.

Thanks for sharing this info. :( That is something to think about for sure and it does make sense.

These goggles absolutely rock!!! I too have a big head and have no problem with these. The rubber around the eyes is very soft and they work great. They don't leak one bit, and the best part is they never fog up. I'll have these babies on for 30 minutes and not even realize they're on. I've bought several pair and so have my friends. They love them as well.
