Greetings!
My pool flooded with salt water during hurricane Helene, and of course, it was full of debris from the sea. I have actually gone through multiple, simultaneous "drain/replace" cycles and cleared the pool of debris, so once the pool refills to the proper level, I'll be in a position to get the chemical balance back.
With that said, I have some light brownish staining on my pool walls in patches that was already present before the hurricane that I assume to be either iron or copper. I know that the process of treating the pool for this requires that the chlorine level be at zero. This sounds like the perfect time for me to attempt a stain removal process before I add chlorine. Can anyone advise as to what product I should use, and what the process looks like? Is it as simple as throwing in some algaecide and then the stain remover and letting it do its thing?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!
