Hello , I found this forum and I found few solutions but now uts little bit different.

So im in process of building a pool , I fired my "contractor" because I found too many imperfections and cut too many corners to save money , he draw 80% of the money and I dont think he want to finish it SMH and honestly with the way it looks I dont want him to finish it.

So to the questions.

I purchased pool equipment.
My pool is with connected raised spa , not built in the pool so its has Speedway to the pool.

I purchased Pump , filter. Salt cell, actuator , lights etc...

I'd like to get your advice so maybe I can get some rest at least on the equipment.

Pump
So , the PB installed all the pipes using 1.5" , drain , skimmer , returns , vaccume line is the only 2" pipe around the pool.
I purchased single speed 1.5HP pantair pump 240v the problem is I have some water features and I'd like to know if that would be enough to run everything through one single speed pump and I want to know ifvi need another pump to operate the water features so ill explain.

I want to, to install 4 smart switch so I can control and setup timer through my phone.

I'm not even sure if I need 4 but lets see what you guys saying.

So I have pool and spillway spa @ 15k apx water volume
I have a waterfall
I have 3 bubblers
I have 6 lights , x3 bubblers , x2 pool, x1 spa
Id like to know what do I need and how many actuators I need to install and if I need a seperate pump to run the pool and seperate pump to run the water features, id like to have the water features seperate because as my understanding the spillway will stop when I'm using heater for the spa so im not sure how its really works .

So id like to control all the lights under 1switch its not a problem .

Now the lights I purchased are hayward 320 , I will install one at the spa , x3 in bubblers and now is the dilemma.

My PD installed 1.5" pipe for the 1 light at the pool , im not sure if that would be enough since he dud it 18" I think and not as directed 9" under the water line , also is the 320 can cover the entire pool ? I dont want it to be too bright or too dark , my pool is 14x28 plus tanning ledge 14x10 but its has 3 bubblers with light on it plus the light in the spa , should I drill a hole NOW and install another light on the other side of the pool at the shallow end facing the deep end ?
I cant install on the deep end because we already poured the deck on that side so its impossible.

Can someone help me here please ?
I'm looking my mind over that I can still return the equipment for an exchange.

Also , the filter i bought is pentair sand 24" with 6 way port (not sure what's that good for lol) its something with new tech , super clean etc... I think it's TA60 or so .
Is that good enough ?

Leave the bran now I know Janey is great but I can't afford it , If this equipment is enough ill keep it if not I can replace it ,

So .
1. Do I nedd another pump for Water features?
2. If I need , should I go with bigger or VS pump ? (i have 1.5" pipes remember)
3. Is one hayward 320 light installed 18" under water level will be good enough or i need to install another one ?
Is the 24" pantair filter will work Good enough or need to get bigger one?

I really appreciate your attention, im losing my mind. My pool builder doesn't know what he's doing lol

Well his not my PB anymore lol .

Check it out , MY PB did this lol , what to do. I know in fact its up to 4 foot from the extention point so I need to know if I need to cut the deck and find the point of extention and replace it with WHITE PVC pipe or leave it ?
He uses conduit pipe to extend the water like I belive between 4 and 5 feet for each line , main drain, 2 skimmers and one jet line (another return) i know its a joke but I wonder if this can cause any problems in the future?.

He said everyone does it haha. Yea right

On the 1st picture you can see the white 1 5" pipes running and stopped about 4ft from the place I took the picture, this means the connection is 4ft or under so im not sure what to do now , cut the concrete or not before it'll be too late this is the right time to do it because the pool is not finished yet , what you think ?

Where is this pool located? I see Myr as you location but don't know where that is.

The way of plumbing may be how some do it but most use PVC pipe all of the way.

What pipe is on the inside of the pool wall? The part that the return will attach to is what I am looking for.

Hi , thanks .
I'm in south carolina
I was here where they ran the pipes (I don't love here) I built the pool for my kids but I don't love with them so within the time I was visiting here I saw all plumbing was 1.5" white PVC , the only area I see it was gray cunduit is outside of the deck frame, I think he ran out of white PVC and connect between white and gray PVC schedule 40 1.5" HOWEVER its not more than 4' extended bc I know where the white pipe stopped when he did the plumbing , it was stopped between 4-5 foot from the edge of the deck so im pretty sure he extend the 3 pipes 4-5 feet , now , this is 1 pipe for the main drain , 1 pipe for skimmer and 1 return so idk .
Thank you very much for your advice .

All the pool plumbing is 1.5" , no 2" pipes were used. Also the spa has 1.5 from the main drain and the returns also 1.5".

Hello , so I was advices to run my pool/spa and water features as below .

I already purchased most of the equipment but I was advised to exchange it with something else what you think ?

I purchased as below .

And I was advised to return 2 items , hayward salt cell and pentair pump
He advised me to go with pentair automation system so I was told to exchange the haywayr salt cell with pentair bc otherwise I wouldn't be able to control the cell with the automation system.

I was also told its better to purchase 2 pumps , 1 for the shared pool/spa and one seperate pump for tge waterfall and the bubblers

The pool/spa he said , buy the PENTAIR VSF (not vs) because that way I can control when I'm using the spa for better flow rate BUT my pipes around all 1.5" include the spa (i think the jets built with 2") return line and suction all 1.5"

I know I can control the GPM AND THE RPM , I have 6 jets and spa is spillway , any idea if this would work fine ?

I also have air blower for the spa, so 1 5" will be okay ? Or i will not feel good pressure from the spa jets and will be very minimal ? I'm not trying to get huge pressure on spa jets but the question if it will be very very low or it'll be okay ?thanks

Who gave you all this advice you are now looking to second guess with us?

What pool is this for? New construction or an existing pool?

Tell us about the pool if you want advice on the suitability of the equipment.

And tell us how you got to this point as you have been talking to others before you came here.

What do you want your pool to be able to do? Let's start with your wants that the equipment should satisfy.

Thank you
Who gave you all this advice you are now looking to second guess with us? My friend he’s a works for pool company and he helped me to build mine.

What pool is this for? New construction or an existing pool? New construction , 14x28x5.5’ plus 14x10x9” with shared spa 7x7x3’ , 6 jets

Tell us about the pool if you want advice on the suitability of the equipment. Correct

And tell us how you got to this point as you have been talking to others before you came here. I was advices by my friend he said this should work great for me

What do you want your pool to be able to do? Let's start with your wants that the equipment should satisfy.
I have shared spa with spillway , 3 bubblers with Hayward 320, 2 pool lights Hayward 320, simple stone covered wall with waterfall , all 1.5 pipes around the pool (now I know I should get 2” but too late.

what we try to do is to use the VSF (since it’s only 1.5” pipes) so we can control the for the pool and the spa under VSF pump.

seperate pump VS for the bubblers and waterfall that way i can run it on timer seperate from the pool pump.
I already sent back the pump and the salt system and I ordered the 2 pumps , automation system and the salt cell , all pool and spa equipment are Pentair but the lights Hayward 320 as well as the bubblers.

thanks for the advice
