While removing the Polaris wall fitting, the outer rim cracked and broke off leaving the inner collar threaded inside. I searched this forum and found an old thread that gave a few ideas. I used the suggestion of taking a metal spackle knife, inserting into the stuck fitting, lining up the knife edges with the open slots inside the fitting. Using vice grips I was able to turn the fitting and eventually remove it. Thanks for the idea @JamesW .

Need help with a Polaris 280 part fix please.
The part that inserts into my pool wall has broken off thanks to the winter storm here and I am trying to get it removed. It is about 8 inches below the water level and there doesnt seem to be an easy to get it out. so what is a non easy way. cant get a pool guy out for quite a while. it...
