Not sure how else to describe it, maybe I will try to take a video.

When I try to attach the Polaris hose to the screw quick connect in the wall it only turns a tiny bit and that's it. Doesn't matter if I am applying tons of force or no force, out of the pool or in the pool right in front of it. It hardly goes in at all. Any little touch on it will have it spring free and when the pump turns on it usually shoots it right out.

I have tried it both ways up and down and the tabs just do not let it all screw in. I have watched videos and it seems very basic, screw in, tabs latch on, Polaris stays happy.

I have not been able to fully screw it on now for quite some time. The black o ring is still visible, I can't push it all the way in and screw it on.
Hi, Skenn81...I'm new to this group, so I'm not sure if you'll be notified of this message: We bought a house that has a pool with the Polaris 380 and we have the exact same problem. The hose simply does not twist all the way on, no matter what we try. We looked at the diagram in this thread, and it all makes sense. Nothing looks broken (yet). I've been thinking of trying a lube to help it, but that seems extreme. Did you ever solve your issue? Thanks!
EDIT: Ooops...sorry...I missed the entire section where you had success...it was hidden, and I did not see the "view more" link as I scrolled. Thank you for sharing your experience!

It would be best to start a new thread for your specific problem. (Help @Newdude )
The hose piece twists into the receptacle about a 1/4 of a turn. The j-mechanism must line up with the 2 tabs inside the receptacle.
Put some lube on the seal as it may make it easier. Also, turn off the pump so you are not pressing against pump pressure.
Show photos of your specific pieces.

As I wrote in the old thread, either or both the wall part or the end of the hose part will wear with age. Buying a replacement solved the problem for me everytime.
