Today I noticed my polaris cleaner is floating. It was working fine the past few days.

I am hearing a hissing noise coming from the wall jet where the polaris hose is connected to. I disconnected the hose from the wall and the water pressure coming out of the wall seems low and even with the hose disconnected I am hearing a hissing noise.

I see no visible leaks anywhere.

Anything else I can check?

Thanks,

Disregard.

I just bought a new robotic cleaner.

Do I need to cap off the Polaris hose cleaner wall jet or can I just leave it as an extra jet?

Also, what do I do about the Polaris pump? Leave it as is or have it disconnected and safe-off the power?

Thanks

You can leave the pump in place in case you ever want to go back to using it, just remove the wiring at any time clock so it can't come on (trip/remove a breaker, et.). You can remove the pump and hook the hoses together or run one from the point the booster gets its water to the Polaris line and it will be another return. If the pipe going into the ground to feed the Polaris is 1.5" you can plumb it into the return plumbing after any valve that may switch between pool/spa if you have a spa.
Of all the above, I would just remove the pump, hook the lines together and be done. That way they could always be used again for a pressure cleaner is wanted/needed.
Get a 1.5" threaded "eyeball" return fitting for the wall so that water is not going straight out and disrupting the motion of water getting to the skimmer. It can actually cause a "divide" in the surface of the water that floating debris may not get by to the skimmer.
