Place pool on blanket of Artificial grass?

Hi all,

I am about to setup my Intex pool, 4 x 2 x 1 meter in my backyard

The ground in our backyard is extremely hard, so I will have some people come help me to level it properly.

I was thinking of doing this:

1. Flatten/level the ground.
2. A Cover in plastic to avoid grass/weed growth
3. Put a blanket of artificial grass over the entire area. (I think that would look good)
4. Add the pool blanket and then the pool.

Do you think this will be good long term. Pool will be there all year around and not taken down.

I think it will work just fine. I like the pool blanket over the grass as that will help keep the "grass blades" from doing any harm to the pool liner.

I do have to ask if the fake grass blades are very "pokey"? You sure don't want to poke a hole in the liner.

i did exactly 1,2,3.....see the photos Above Ground Pool
for 2 though I used proper weed matting
the only comment is that the artificial grass can get hot in full sun but I’d do it again

Thanks a lot for your feedback. Looked at your pictures and like the idea about you putting the stone blocks for support under the artificial grass carpet. Think I will do the same. Just need to do some measuring now Got to figure out the distance from pool to supporters
