Pinch a Penny or Professional?

Welcome to TFP!

Unlike Marty I have been in a pool store. And I've worked with a lot of professionals. And after seeing in-person as well as on the site how that industry works I say very strongly: following the methods taught here and doing it yourself without the pool store is the best way to maintain your pool, equipment, water quality, and swimmer comfort and safety. Nobody cares more about your pool than you, don't trust it to someone who knows you as "stop 23" or a high school kid reading a computer print out at his summer job.

I use to do it myself letting them pool store test. Pretty much went like this “ this is low and this is high and you need to add this… $125 please”
And that’s assuming you don’t have an issue then it’s $250.
Like Marty suggested get a test kit and learn the basics and your set. Pools are easy if you spend a little time and money daily.
Get a salt water generator and pool life gets very simple 🥰
