I'm going to install an automated heater bypass, so I need a valve and an actuator.

It was easy to find Jandy part number 4717 (3-port 2/2.5-inch Neverlube valve), but there are three part numbers for Pentair actuators, and I haven't found any online documentation to help me choose. I'll call Pentair on Monday if I need to, but does anyone know the difference between part numbers 263043, 263044, and 263045?

  • Pentair CVA24. Pentair has three model numbers for the CVA24. The only difference is their preset cam setting and the 90 degree and 120 degree actuators cost almost twice as much:
    • 263043 90 degree actuator - $374.99
    • 263044 120 degree actuator - $399.99
    • 263045 180 degree actuator - $211.99

Any brand valve actuator will work, it doesn't have to be Pentair, they are universal fit now.
