Hi everyone! I’m a fairly new pool owner so I hope I can explain my problem using the correct terminology. My pump isn’t turning on during the regular scheduled times. I checked the time/date, etc on the display and it all seems correct. I have power to the pump as well. When I push the stop/start button, nothing happens but the quick clean button does turn on the pump. I have the easy touch control system and when I manually try and turn the pump on as well as using the app, it doesn’t turn on either. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Welcome!

It appears your pump has lost communication with your panel. The pump should say "display not active" when your panel is in Auto mode with the comm cable in place.

This could be a physical issue or a software one. Has it worked before or has it always behaved this way?

Can you confirm the firmware version on your pump? It's accessible via the settings on the pump control panel.

There were certain firmwares that cause intermittent lost of comm and it can be reflashed and corrected. Alternatively you can wire the pump to the relay and force it to "hunt' for the signal once or twice a day. But the former solution is best.

But let's rule out a physical issue first! Try restarting power to your entire panel and see if that restores the connection.

Wow that fixed it! I turned off all the breakers at the panel, waited a couple of minutes then turned them back on. The pump panel started reading “display not active” & then shortly after the pump automatically turned on and resumed it’s running schedule. Thank you so much for the help! I just found this forum today so I’m excited to learn from everyone here.

Great!

Keep an eye on it over the next few weeks and let us know if it happens again. Firmware 3.03 and 3.04 are the problem versions. You can check under Settings > Device on the pump's control panel when in Service mode.

Howdy, I have a very similar problem and with a 3.03 firmware. Could you recommend a means to update the firmware? I did not find a way to do it (yet) Thanks.
