Pentair Intellichlor - Clean Salt Cell

We have a Pentair Intellichlor that keeps giving the error that the salt cell needs to be cleaned. We have cleaned it three times and get NO bubbling each time. The light keeps flashing away that it needs to be cleaned. Anything else that could generate that error message? At this point it's not making any chlorine. I'm gonna try to give Pentair a call too.

The exact message is: Clean salt cell - inspect cell blades. Ensure no blockage or calcium build-up. If calcium build-up exists then acid wash cell per user manual instructions.

A couple of items to consider:

1) How old is the Pentair Intellichlor (IC)? Most SWG cells will last about 5 years before their plates have eroded beyond where it can produce chlorine.
2) Have you had any power outages or surges recently? I've seen power surges cause communication problems with the EZ Touch controller. Try removing power form the whole system and restarting one piece at a time (EzTouch first then IC).

Good Luck!
