I hope someone can give me guidance. New pool installed in 2013.
Interface: AquaLink Touch
Model: RS-8 only
Aqualink REV R
CPU p/n E0260804.
IAqualink Web connect device iQ900.
PentairIntellibrite 5g Underwater Pool Color-Changing LED Light.
The color changing feature never worked from day 1. The lights usually lit up white.

The first photo attached shows the options for light control I have on my iAquaLink app. Note that it does not have a Pentair Intellibrite option.
The second photo is something I found as I was researching the issue on the web showing the option to click for Pentair Intellibrite.
I am assuming this is the reason for my issue.

Do I need to upgrade the CPU from REV R to a later version, or the iQ900 to a later version, or both?

Welcome to TFP.

Rev R is from 2012. Latest Rev is Y. I don't know when Pentair IntelliBrite support was added but you do not have it.

You need an updated CPU board.

You can try calling Jandy Support and see if they will speak to you.

@PoolGate @MSchutzer @HermanTX what Rev do you have with Intellibrite light listed?

Thank you for your reply. Can I purchase the CPU chip only, or do i have to purchase the entire bezel and board? Also, would you know if this will work with the connect device iQ900, or do I also have to upgrade to the model 2.0 or 3.0?

What Jandy may allowed to be sold to you and what Jandy will sell to an installer who can sell it to you are two different things.

Jandy CPU boards appear for sale on eBay and @PoolGate has bought there.

You can get the IQ30-RS upgrade that has a new board from...

A newer CPU rev should work with the IQ-900.

Above post @ycolasan has correct version information.
For anyone wanting more details, below is what I have come across.

Rev MMM - JandyColor
Rev H - Haywood ColorLogic
Rev O.1 - Jandy Watercolors.
Rev T.0.1 has limited support for some early Intelibtight.
Rev T.2 has full Intelibright.

So @dovsbear any panel Rev T.2 or newer is what you want.

Looks like color light control came in Rev L in 2004.

Over the years Jandy have added different types of color lights. The list I posted listed the revisions where the different types of lights are supported up to the specific light OP was after.
As you can see from the link you posted. Jandy Color lights came in MMM. Rev L was SAm/SAL Lights, which I didn't list, as you can't even buy them any more.

Do you have a source reference for those conclusions?

I read MMM as fixing a synchronization problem between lights.

Rev L reads like Jandy Color Smart light controls were added. It does not mention SAM/SAL lights.

I’m a little confused. The Links you posted confirm that statement. Different light types are supported in different revisions of the jandy control panel.
Either way, the OP got his answer. They needs Rev T.02 to support Intellibrite color lights.
