pentair ic40 not working trips 12a breaker when pump starts

My Pentair ic40 stopped working no power, 12a breaker trips as soon as pump turns on. I've checked the transformer and 220v to pump relay is ok, 32v to surge board is good .
When u unplug the salt generator from the bottom of the control panel 12a breaker does not trip. I changed out the surge board and the 12a breaker just to make sure that was not the issue. anything I'm missing before I purchase a new generator? Can the old unit be rebuilt? fyi this unit is only 2 1/2 years old

How many gallons in your pool?

The IC40 cannot be repaired or rebuilt.

You probably need a new cell.

Had to purchase new one unfortunately, new one installed everything seems to be back to normal

When the little IntelliChlor breaker pops, my guess is that about 90% of the time, the cell is bad...
