Pentair Easy Touch - some features won’t turn on, air blower starts on its own

Hello, looking for some help with our Pentair Easy touch. The air blower on our spa turns on almost every day at exactly the same time, however I am unable to turn it off or on from the app or the panel itself. The valves also don’t turn if we turn on the spa or waterfall feature, however the heater turns on and we are also able to turn on the pool and spa lights.

I’ve already replaced both chips on the board, and have also disconnected the spa side remote in case that was causing issues. Any idea what the problem could be? I wouldn’t think low voltage circuit breaker since the air blower does turn on, but possibly the cause?

Hoping not to spend money on a new board :)

Thanks!

Welcome to TFP

Have you pressed the RESET button on the outdoor panel?

That resets the EasyTouch but does not clear any programming.

You can try a factory reset which wipes your programming and restores the ET to factory defaults.

First go through every window and option dialog box of your ScreenLogic interface and take a screenshot of it. Stash it away for reference.

The factory reset can solve some very odd bugs. While it's drastic, it can work.

Before you do that let's try @Jimrahbe @mknauss @ogdento for ideas.

2005,

Are you sure the chips are in right.. It is very easy to plug them in backwards..

Instead of trying to figure out why 'everything' does not work, pick one thing and figure it out.. Doing that will often fix everything.

The easiest thing to troubleshoot would be valve movement.. on just one valve... Valves move by sending 24 VAC to the valve on one wire or the other.. Do you have 24 VAC? If so, is the relay that controls the valve movement getting turned on and off... etc...

Thanks,

Jim R.

After some troubleshooting, I was able to get the blower to work again by moving the wires from the blower power relay from aux 2 to aux 7 on the control board. Updated the programming in the app and it works correctly now. To 100% verify the aux 2 port is the issue, I moved the pool lights which were working to aux 2, and they stopped working. Luckily I had unused aux ports, so not an issue.

Now just have the two valves that are not working. Was getting dark and ran out of time, but will try moving them to a known good aux port as a first step as they are not getting any power. If that doesn’t work, I’ll try switching the relay with another that’s unused.
