Overflow cover/filter

Hello! I have a fiberglass insert in ground from Catalina (boo, I know) and it's 15 years old and things are starting to get brittle. The above water threaded filter cover that protects the overflow that is in the shallow end above the stairs is broken, and I need to replace it. It looks like the pic below but has the threaded end that screws into the pipe ending attached. I cannot find it anywhere or even know what it might be called. Does anyone know? Right now I just have it capped off as I don't want anything to go down that drain that shouldn't.

Show us pictures of your pool and the actual drain with the cover that needs replacement.

Sure. I have the overflow capped (1st pic) which is fine for now, but come the fall rains I'll need to figure something out. 2nd pic is the disintegrated cover. Just a strainer with a threaded piece of pvc that was attached to it.

So you have a fitting that screws into the pipe and provides three screw holes for the cover to be anchored.

Correct. Worst case I make one from the threaded part but there has to be a replacement out there.
