When installing new liner, the previous owner just covered the pool light niche. I have no idea what brand or size is under the liner. Any ideas about what we're looking at to get light installed?
A new liner at a minimum.. lights are generally removed because of a failure deemed not worth repair cost/effort. Obviously, only you can decide what you are comfortable spending.
auntbb ..... Welcome to TFP! It might also help if we knew more about your pool. Make sure to update your signature with all of your pool and equipment info. You can see mine below as an example to help. For this discussion specifially, you might tell us how your pool is structurally designed (i.e. steel walls, in-ground concrete, etc). The more info you provide might result in additional replies along with what you've received already.
And its not just the light. There is a housing, ground wires, bond wires, conduit, and other things that can go bad and be expensive to repair. Usually the problem is bad when the solution is to just cover it over. How old is the liner?
