Odd Raypak model number: B-R407A-EN-C

Hi,

I need to replace my pool heater, it's currently between the MaterTemp 400 and the Raypak equivalent, in doing my research I found this model Raypak B-R407A-EN-C https://lesliespool.com/raypak-0177...399000-btu-commercial-pool-heater/959835.html it says it's the ASME version, and it's cheaper than that residential model???

Looking at the model number page How to Read a Raypak Model Number – Raypak it should be C-R407A-EN-C

Anyone have any ideas? Is it a typo?

• Prefix "P" is for plastic (polymer) headers.
• Prefix “B” is for brass headers.
• Suffix "X" is for cupro-nickel tubing; "C" is for copper tubing.

Thanks for the quick response. Just when I thought I had all the choices narrowed down, they throw another in the mix... So to me brass headers would be better than plastic, so how come is $500 cheaper? B-R407A-EN-C vs P-R407AL-EN-C

And now I also see the Avia has moved to the same design as the MaterTem and is apox the same size

B-R407A-EN-C vs P-R407AL-EN-C

I do not think that P-R407AL-EN-C is a valid number.

You should verify exactly what that is.

Thanks for the responses, I went with the RAYPAK AVIA 404K Low NOx NITEK NAT Gas Heater in the end. Got it locally at a good price, pick it up Monday.
