Soni out together the pool today that is listed in my signature. Eveything good as expected. Water filling. Put together the pump, all good to go (well water not high enough to check eveything but was easy set up). Then as I am breaking down the box I find this part. No idea what it is. Can't find anything on manual, no idea to what even search on, and even watched the boring DVD to no avail. Any help? I don't even see where it could possibly fit. 1528074006522359861224.jpg

That is an adaptor that you can hook up to the drain so you can attach a hose to redirect the water as it drains from your pool.

I have another part question please. I see the 3 plugs that come with it for the pump. Then figured out this little cap was for air vent of out spout. I feel like when it is on its less water pressure coming out. What is this for? We. Reason not to let water shoot out of doing pump work? 20180607_202941.jpg

The black cap is to seal the valve so the return jet does not get any air. It’s called hydro aeration technology , it’s a check valve to suck air into the return jet for aeration. If you don’t want aeration just place the black cap on the valve! That’s all it’s for!

I’m not sure, I use it off and on but I monitor all my levels. I know having the cap off adds aeration to the pool which causes your PH to rise and it also can lower the water temperature. I mostly use it when lowering my TA with acid so it’s easy for me to aerate the pool after to rise the PH. Research aerating a pool and make a decision from there!
