I wish I’d paid more attention 10 years ago when I first noted small bubbles coming from the return jet closest to the pump. Today, when a major air leak forced me to replace the lid and o-ring, lo and behold: the inside of the basket is calm and peaceful while the pump is running. Somehow I’d gotten used to the interior looking like a jacuzzi!
