Hopefully this is allowed! The pentair single speed pump on our pool finally died this spring as I was trying to get the pool ready. I’ve been intrigued by the variable speed pumps and filter cartridges for a while now so when the pump died I thought what better time to upgrade! I decided to ditch the sand filter as well since they waste a lot of water to clean, take up a lot of space and I just don’t like them.
My wife was not very interested in spending the big bucks for the name brand filter and pump so I looked around and found this pump by Lingxaio.
It met my needs for price ($450 when I bought it on sale) and dual voltage since I don’t have 220v to my pool.
At the time it had zero reviews but their spa pumps had a ton of positive reviews so I thought why not? They must know how to make pumps so i gave it a shot. Apparently a few others did as well since a few reviews came in and had good things to say about it.
I must say I’m very impressed! I don’t have anything to compare it to other than the old single speed but it’s very quiet, seems to be very powerful and I LOVE the variable speed! It’s so nice to be able to have it run slower most of the time and then kick into high gear when needed!
I hard lined it to the filter and it runs great! For what it’s worth they extended the warranty to three years for leaving a 5 star review but I left my review before they contacted me. Who knows if their warranty is worth anything but it’s there.
On the filter side I went with a Vevor 150sf cartridge filter. I don’t see the one I got on Amazon anymore but it’s also really nice. 150sf might be smaller than optimal but it fit my budget and is working great as well.
this setup has been running for the past month and it’s working really well. Very pleased.
I’m not associated with either company. I’m just a pool owner on a budget and thought I would share my experience!
