New 21x43 Saltwater Pool Fill

Thanks again to this great community. Lurking for awhile now and finally the pool is up and filling!

It is a 21x43 (~25k gallons) and we do have a TF-100 kit with the salt test also. We tested our water yesterday as it was filling to get used to doing all the tests. The pool is still currently filling but our results from testing are as follows:



What levels do we try to raise first? When is the best time to add the salt? We are still waiting on the electrician to hook up the pump and SWG but it should be done by the time it finishes filling (thanks low municipal water pressure)

You need some liquid chlorine asap so nothing grows in your beautiful new pool while u wait on your swg to be up & running. Add 4 ppm per day. Have u already added stabilizer in some way? If so assume its in there & follow the FC/CYA Levels for chlorine pools
You can add salt now if u like - it needs to have a day or so to mix in before running your swg. Add 2/3 & then check 24 hrs later so u don’t over shoot.

Is this a liner pool? Please note the pool surface in your signature. Advice will vary based on pool surface. I can surmise that it is but I don‘t want to assume. You can turn off tracking of borates for now in Pool Math. It is not recommended to concern yourself with them until you have the basics down pat. For most folks they are a fully unnecessary chemical to track.

If u haven’t already added any stabilizer put enough to get u to 30 ppm in a tube sock, tie a knot in it & hang it in front of a return where it won’t touch the pool wall & squeeze it every now & then so it dissolves. Then use 30 cya to figure your target fc level daily. You will need more cya (about 60-70) when your swg is ready- but its best to add it in steps as to not over shoot- like the salt the only way to lower cya is water replacement.
it can take several days for it to register on the test.
