I have my pressure washer and detergent ready to go. I have my stain picked out. The problem is there’s pollen everywhere. I’ll obviously get most of it up when I wash, but there’s going to be a layer on it the next day.

Think I should wait until the pollen is better or is it not enough to cause adherence or drying issues?

No question, I'd wait it out. A (possibly) blotchy finish would irk me for much longer than the impatience of still having a task to do hanging over my head.

If you put a value on your labor, stain is cheap compared to labor. I would wait until you can do a good job on it.

I hope you are using a quality stain. When I paint a room in my house, I buy the best paint that I can. I don't settle for their lower grades of paint. Since I value my labor, I want the paint to last as long as possible. That includes being able to wash dirt and stains off the wall. So when it comes to stain, I use oil based stain. I once used Behr acrylic stain on my deck. It was peeling within two years where it was exposed to weather. Never again.
