Need to replace a Hayward pool filter that isn’t made anymore

Looking for recommendations for a DE pool filter cartridge. We have the Hayward Regenx DE pool filter and the parts for it are no longer made. The filter seems to be 70sq feet. Any ideas for a substitute? We suspect there is a lot of DE in the pool so the current filter needs replacing and was inherited from the previous owners.

Are there tears in the fabric or cracks in the top or bottom? If not the filter should be good. What there is is too much DE. It is "bridged" between pleats and that prevents water from getting through. The coating of D.E. should only be about 1/8". Also, there should not be D.E. on the top of the cartridge. Is the O ring missing/damaged?

How large is your pump? What pool is this? Do you want to stick with D.E. or go to something else? The options for replacement filters are very numerous.
