Need Help Setting Skimmer Valve on the Return Side

Hi All,

I’ve searched, but I can’t seem to find any info for the proper setting of the skimmer valve on the return side. I have a 12,000 gallon pool with a spa and one skimmer. I understand the valve settings on the suction side and I have both the main drain and skimmer valve set to full open. On the return side I have the pool return set to full open and the spa return to about half open, but I have no idea what the skimmer return does or where it should be set to. Below are some photos of both my suction and return valves. Any help will be appreciated!

Richard,

You have one of those "Magic" skimmers that uses return water to help the skimmer work. More marketing than a real thing, so I suggest that you just shut off the Skimmer valve on the Return side and see how well your skimmers work without it. If they work fine, just leave it off. If you do turn it on, only open it as little as possible to keep your skimmers working.

Yep, that is very similar to what I have. There is a s a port right under my skimmer.
