Hi,

I am replacing my pump shortly & am looking to buy a few Jandy valves to return if I dont use them (but would like them on hand).

I have 2" PVC, going into a 2" coupler which attaches to the Jandy.

The Jandy valves online appear to be ones that the 2" pipe - goes into the Jandy valve (what i see online).

My PVC coupler looks like it goes over the valve end vs PVC into the Jandy.

Any ideas what model / size valve I have - if i need to replace it all?

Thanks,
Rich

That looks like a 2" outside 1.5" inside Jandy valve. If you are plumbing with 2" pvc then get the Jandy valves with 2" inside and 2.5" outside so that you can make repairs in the future.

So I am trying to figure why the last owner would have plumbed it that way (pool company anyway). The pipes are all 2" so wouldnt putting 1.5" valves in limit the flow?

On the other hand, maybe this saved a few inches of space?

So I am planning on replacing the pump & am still a little unsure on what 'spare' returnable parts i should get?

If all goes well i wont touch any of it - I am not sure if could make it any tighter.
