Magic Stream Laminar Filter and Plumbing Question

Quick Questions on Magic Stream Laminar:

I am planning on six of these units behind back raised wall of pool.

Reading through the specifications on the installation manual, it says "Use a 20 micron cartridge filter to supply clean, filtered water to theLaminar. Do not use a DE or sand filter."

I plan on using the Quad DE cartridge Filter for the main pool filtering. Should I just pop a 75 SF Clean & Clear Filter behind the Quad DE for this specific return line (2" line feeding 6 laminar jets)?

I have read they are VERY sensitive to debris, even tiny stuff. I think you should to do as you suggest for them. Sure do not want to get them clogged and not working.

Separate filters are best practice and what is recommended. I also use a Quad DE as my pool filter and a Clean and Clear for the laminars. Btw, love the laminars. Kids love it both during the day and at night with the colors. I recommend you put the flow and lighting on different relays (if you're using Pentair Automation) so you can just turn on the stream without needed to turn on the lights during the day.
