Lueders Limestone Coping - Does this look right?

We are on month 9 of our pool build and there's one last issue of concern. The builder used buff Lueders limestone coping. The coping was installed months ago. When the weather warmed up and the construction started to approach completion, we noticed many flaws in the coping--crumbling, staining, power washing marks, etc.

The builder sanded the coping as a repair, but it doesn't look any different to us. We REALLY want to be done with the builder so before we pursue this issue, we are wondering if maybe this is normal for Lueders coping. It's hard to imagine this is how it's supposed to look.

FYI The pool filled with stone dust in these photos because they had just finished installed new travertine decking and sanding the coping; it was thoroughly cleaned the next day.

Thank you!

Stone is a natural product. There can be a huge variation as far as quality and appearance.

To be sure that you will be happy with the stone, you really have to inspect it before it gets installed.
