Lounge chair space

Hiya all- curious how much space you folks would recommend for a lounge chair along side the pool to comfortably move about? Is 8 feet enough? I’ve been finding the majority are anywhere from 70 to 80 inches in length.

We have 12ft of decking on the lounging side of the pool, and it’s not excessive. Leaves the chairs a couple of feet from the pool and leaves a couple of feet of decking to walk behind them. With 8ft, there wouldn’t be room to walk past a lounger at 90 degrees to the pool edge. It’s surprising how much traveling around the pool you do when skimming, brushing and testing and adding chemicals.
