Good morning, I just put up the pool, and now, I need to make this less of an eye sore! It will only be up for the summer so I'm looking for ideas of how to improve the look of the base of the pool. Maybe small fence or smooth stones? My only concern is that I will need to clean up whatever I put down after the pool season. (As you can see I had to level the lawn as there was a slope.)

Thanks for any ideas or links you can provide.

(I searched forum but the posts I saw concerned permanent pools)

I used river rock gravel around a corner of my above ground pool. I ended up spraying it with weed/grass killer this year as it was starting to get overcome by it. May last another year or two.

But I think you are asking about covering the look of the wall of the pool, not the ground.
There are greenery privacy panels at big box hardware stores, and probably online as well. They are lightweight so you'd have to figure out a frame to attach them to keep them in place.

Thanks. My main focus is covering the ground, including the insulation and dirt/mud. I'm going to get quote for river rock and I'll have to move it somewhere else on my property in offseason.

We bought some fake turf and placed it on top of our pad areas that show. It's not top of the line but blends in pretty good with the rest of the yard.

Be careful with rock in general. The rectangular pools move much more than the round ones and you do not want to vinyl rubbing up against them. I used wood for my surround and then use foam gutter guards around my pool and then rubber mulch to fill in the area. I know you want to take down and remove at the end of the season which is a bunch of work...

This is what I chose to do. I bought some lumber from Home Depot and will need to buy 12 bags of mulch to cover the front and left (the back and right are not viewable). I like the look of dark mulch but was concerned about the stain finding its way into pool. I might buy plain mulch instead. I'll report back. Thanks!

@CJGMB Forgot to mention that the mulch I used is rubber. What you see has been out in the elements now for over 2 years. Due to location and continual saturation I thought that the wood based mulch would break down and get moldy over time.
