Liquid Chlorine
Hello all-

Been out of the pool loop for 15 years and am starting up a new above ground pool this week. I hate getting pool stored but wouldn’t know a good price for liquid chlorine these days if it slapped me upside the head. I was at our Ace Hardware here and they had HTH brand CYA 4 lb bag- so I grabbed one. They also had a stack of cartons inside the store, of 10% (allegedly) liquid chlorine for 4.09 a gallon. What is a decent price now? I take it from reading that finding basic clorox without nasty additives is difficult now?

Any input is helpful. Thanks,

G

I can get 4 gallons of 12.5% for $15 here, up from $10 for the same last year. Stuff is expensive.
Thank you. I will probably find 12.5 at the pool store when they try to tell me what Crud to put in to ruin my water. 🤣 I see you are in Wisconsin. I am in eastern Iowa. The stores here push algaecide pretty hard. I am immune to pushing, but have to tolerate it to get the chemical credit that is part of the overall pool package. I will let them test my water and see how it compares to my own test.

No Menards around here…

This weekend I saw 12.5% 4 gal $19.99 at BJs.
You may want to check Ocean Job Lots and Ace. The reason I went with a SWG was to avoid that maddening search for LC.
