Had a suction side air leak.
With pump off but basket full of water, I heard the air flow near the lid.
Then noticed bubbling of the water under the lid where the air was entering (i.e. losing suction).
Tried silicon grease but then the thread below mentioned that the manual did not mention using grease, so I took a look at the manual (second link)

Turns out that my lid seal was installed upside down (i.e. two ridges were visible vs being seated against the groove in the clear plastic.) Flipping it seems to have fixed the issue.
