I have a new pool and our new tru guard mineral sanitizer was just installed. My question is should the sanitizer be installed before or after the sw cg on the return line?
Welcome to the forum!
Sadly, the best thing you can do is remove the Tru Guard. It is adding metals to your pool that will eventually stain the pool surfaces.
Follow the directions on where it is to be installed, if you insist on installing it.
I suggest you read ABC's of Pool Water Chemistry.
Welcome to TFP! Honestly, we wouldn't recommend a mineral sanitizer as they tend to add copper to the water. Once in, the copper level continues to build and doesn't leave unless you exchange water. Staining is a real possibility. Salesman and builders never admit that though. Best option is to remove that item or at least remove the mineral pack and let your SWG do the work for you.
