I have two Jandy LED lights in my pool series CPHVLEDS. I hardly use use these lights and they are already going out. I've replace one of the light engines (LED circuit board model #R0474100) for about half the price of a new complete light and it's out as well. Some of the colors work in one but not all. The program color schemes are affected as well such as the color red in the USA scheme for an example. It will completely go dark when the red is supposed to transition in following the white and blue. What are some suggestions of new lights that would be compatible with the Jandy Aqualink? Also, I have the PDA remote with the lighting choices and schemes programed in. Can I reprogram this with another light manufacture? I'm willing to switch to an incandescent type of light but, I don't know what to buy. I'm reading that those incandescent bulbs can be change to more energy efficient ones. I'm convinced that these Jandy LED"s are not up to standards. Advice please. Thanks.

Aqualink supports the following color changing LED lights:
  • Jandy WaterColors
  • JandyColors
  • Pentair IntelliBrite
  • Pentair SAm/SAL
  • Hayward Universal

Actual support once installed may vary, however.

I'm really thinking about going with a incandescent style replacement. I'm think they should have a light bulb screw in application. I've seen some energy efficient types of pool light bulbs. I need some advice to completely pull out these LED lights that I have and pull in this style that I'm referring to. I just don't know what model/manufacture to purchase in order to convert to this application. Also, I would like to have the unit to be able to change out the bulb to a more energy efficient one . Can you give me some input? Thanks

I think this light is the same diameter as your LED light.

What you need to check is the depth of your light niche and if it will fit.

Your light should be 3.24" depth and 10.04 diameter while the incandescent light is 5.01" Depth x 10.04" Diameter.

I will check the depth of the can as soon as I can get into the pool. The temperature is still a little cold for me LOL. Do you know if I can change the bulbs in these lights to a LED version that would be more energy efficient?

How much time you you run your pool lights?

Does energy efficiency really make much of a difference for the amount of time your pool light is on?

You should be able to change the bulb in an incandescent light to whatever you want.
