Jandy JXi 260BTU - Buttons not working

Hi all,

I have a super strange fault with my Jandy JXi Heater after spring start-up. The Heater has power and the display shows the normal "GAS HEAT OFF PRESS POOL OR SPA" - The issue is none of the buttons do anything.

So far I have tried turning the power on and off, the holding down the buttons to reset and holding down the menu button to enter the menu.

Nothing seems to work at all.

The main control board has
A red light at R71 which is on for about 30 seconds and out for 2 seconds .
D3 is a constant green light
D1 is flashing on and off in a one flash pattern.

Excited to get some help (the pool water is 50F)!!!

No it is not. I only ever use the buttons on the panel

Jandy sells a replacement User Interface Kit that replaces the buttons....

We see bad keypads in Pentair MasterTemp and Hayward Heaters. Haven't heard about them in the JXI.

But my WAG would be the keypad or the main board.

You might want to check the wire harness to the keypad before you order a new one.

No it does not.

I agree with Allen, sounds like a bad user interface.

Ordered the parts. I’ll updated once fitted. I appreciate the help!

I can confirm it was the user interface. Replaced and started up perfectly

I took apart the old one.. defect was pretty obvious (photo attached)
