Pool is 40 days old and I have been running my Jandy JRT3000R Heat Pump for a week set to 85 to test it out. Its been working like a charm until last night when I woke up to 102-degree pool water. The control panel on the JRT3000R said "Set Point Lock" and the display was blinking with some odd characters displaying on and off like there was an issue. I could not interface at all with the control panel and ended up just turning off the circuit breaker.

Called in for a warranty but wondered if any one here has had a similar issue.

We have had a lot of rain the few days before this issue which I suspect could have gotten into the controls maybe?

Thanks for any response.

Gregg

Should it happen again take a picture of the control panel before you flip the breaker off so we can see what you are looking at.

At least you know your HP works well.

Let us know what Jandy warranty does.

Will do, I just took a post JETS Game celebratory swim. Still 97 degrees and it was really nice... Thanks...

Well Jandy says this is obviously not supposed to happen and they have not heard of this happening. Tech came out and did a cursory look at things. At this point I will be running the HP with caution and report back if it misbehaves further.
