J Hook Liner keeps falling

We have measured our pool several times before putting it up and after to check the depth and width and it is within a 1/2" difference. We are currently on the 3rd time filling our pool and once it gets a foot of water in it the same section will fall. We are beyond frustrated with why this is happening. The liner is perfectly straight and there isn't any slack anywhere. Any suggestions why this is happening?

It has been staying in the mid to lower 80's. The J Hook is being placed over the pool, then we are placing plastic coping and then a metal stabilizer. From what I can tell when the pool sides are bending the stabilizer is not holding the liner on the wall.

What I see a lot in installation videos is a spring clamp with a length of rope tied to it on one end and a piece if rebar on the other. The rebar is driven into the ground at an angle and the clamp is placed on the wall and liner. The rebar slightly pulls out on the top of the wall and braces it while the pool fills. You may want to try fabricating some of thes supports and see if it helps. You may also want to reduce the water flow and fill the pool slowly to give the liner time to stretch.

I keep trying to post a picture but I'm having trouble. We thought all was going well and before we knew it the top buckled and it slid off again. I'm beyond frustrated and I've literally cried all afternoon. We have measured again and now we are showing that we possibly could be off by three inches. But we won't know for sure until we get the water back out. The liner is a unibead and we are considering cutting the j Hook off and making it a beaded. We have the bead track from our previous pool. I thought a j Hook liner was easier but now I'm thinking this was a huge mistake!

jhook should be very easy. Ours slipped right on and we filled our pool on a cooler and cloudy day and had no issues. Have you contacted the manufacture of the liner? where did you buy the pool and liner from?

did you put a cove in and do you have enough sand bottom? When the pool only has a couple inches in it do you have any slack to the liner? Ours could be pushed against the wall and it was obvious there was give to stretch. You have everything level? Since it keeps slipping in one spot I wonder if there is a defect or something is out of line

You are correct, it was very easy to get on. It slipped right over the edge of our pool. We didn't have any trouble with that at all. It went on very quick.
We bought our pool from Propools.com. We also purchased the pad and cove. When we measure from top to bottom it is 53.5" so we should be fine on the height....
We have no slack in the liner at all at any location. We do have to push the liner pretty hard to touch the wall towards the bottom.

were the pavers dug into the ground? I feel like if the liner is pulling the wall in with only a little bit of water something is off. Either the base is not high enough or the liner is actually a 52". before the water guy would fill our pool he went around making sure there was slack in our liner so it would not pull the wall in. someone else had this issue recently. I will try to find the post.

Yes, today we tried your suggestion about towing it back with a with a piece of rebar and a post. The wall itself never moved only the top edge buckled and turned in causing the coping, stabilizer and liner to fall out.

Yes, the pacers are dug into the ground. We are going to remeasure the pool around again as well as measure the liner itself to make sure it's not a 52". The liner went in extremely easy. And still with all the falling and sitting back up there is still not a wrinkle in it....maybe that means it is to tight and possibly not the correct size??

Here is another place a few inches down.

My husband asked the Propool people the same thing about the pool being able to handle the pressure of the pulling down. However I wouldn't think they would have this type of liner in their premier package if it wouldn't work. When we purchased this pool from them this was their "recommended" top seller.

I'm hoping that this is a good sign that the pool is almost full and the liner is holding at the top. We ended up cutting away the j Hook and adding the bead track and the metal stabilizer from our OLD pool.
I that if the liner was going to fall it would have already considering before it did at 10-12".

Everyone has been most helpful and I have appreciated each of you so much!! I am so glad that I have found this forum!
