Hi, my intex has some spots fraying on top of the rails. Anyone have any suggestions on what to do? I'd rather catch it early as the rest of the liner is in great shape. Edit - here is a picture.
Where on the pool is this? Is there anything that has been rubbing on this area? Good thing you are taking care of it now. hummm I have a couple of ideas but need a little more info.
It's on the tops of the rails. Really nothing in particular rubbing on them. Kids jump off the rails occasionally but feet are bare in those cases. I have several of these spots.
Spray and/or gorilla tape WITH a PVC cap over it! You could cut a big slot into the pvc pipe and put it over those areas to help protect them from the sun and elements.
How about a fiberglass repair kit like for a tub or even a car. I came here looking for answers because I have the same issue pictured as it does look like fiber.
I will try my own thoughts on this one and get back to y'all. In the meantime if you get to it b4 I do please post your results. Thanks

ok, that is brilliant! I will def be doing that when the pool we have gets replaced...might even do it next season to this one as it will be entering it's fourth year!
I have had experience in the past patching a fiberglass slide and it worked well.
I have the same fraying problem and am going to use material fiberglass package which comes with resin and directions/ I strongly think this will work if done correctly. helenrn
