Hi I'm new to this group and trying to navigate around. I posted on another site but was advise the site was old. So I tring to figure out some issues as well I might have some answers too. My Intex spa is a 2014 model been working great until I put it away, waiting for a new tub to arrive ( placed during COVID April 2020) as the old one has a severe leak in between the walls? I keep it inside for the winter and outside for summer. But mainly my issue is E90 code, The pump has been replace along with the impeller . The major problem is my impeller breaking down and disintegrating, first the crack in the case causing water to enter and the magnets disintegrates. Had to replace a few times. Ceramic rod no issues yet. But I have made my own just in case.
I do have water flow good water pressure. If I turn on the unit let it run 9 seconds then the error code comes on. I have cleared it a 101 times. I can turn on the unit then turn it off before the code come back then on/off ect..... So I know I have good water flow. Has anyone else had this problem? I have taken it apart countless times. And mine being older set up but pretty much looked the same except for a few minor details. My circuit board is all epoxied in so I really can't test any capacitors or resistors on the circuit board but I shouldn't really have to worry about them anyways, my pump motor is hard wired to board (no male/female connector) and I have replaced the motor knowing it works and same with the old one. I do know my heat sensors work but not sure about the flow sensors, so how do I test them? I do have it torn down at the moment. I'm really not sure if it's could be them? But I'm trying to test every possible thing 😬
So any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!

UPDATE.....Ok I finally took the time to figure why the E90 error code. I've been working on the for a couple of years here and there. I figure the code was due to the water flow sensor, so I thought of 2 thing to try. Pull a heavy duty maybe dime size magnet off the frig and placing it next to the sensor, I have removed from the holder that it sit in . Mined you there are 2 of these sensors on mine. But I tried the most visible on top. Turned the control base on hit the filter and waited after 9 second no code, a minute has passed wow it worked. Lol so I put the unit back together but used a less powerful magnet instead and left it taped on top next to the sensor. If the sensor itself self fells then I know but it seem to be the magnet inside that lost it function. So there you have it if everything else seems to be working you might want to give this a try. Before ordering something you don't need.

You have diagnosed the correct faulty part but you will have to replace it. The magnet you installed is tricking the reed switch (or sensor) into thinking that the water flow is normal when it is not. Will you do the same if the second sensor fails? . If the water flow stops & the controller thinks that the water flow is normal then the system will run dry & could lead to a melt down or fire. I have been an electician for 44 years & you wouldn't believe the cockups I've seen.
