The blue floating part on my Intex skimmer floats too high and the water doesn’t get into it. The water just goes in around the edges and bypasses the skimmer basket. Has anyone had the same problem? Is this because I have a salt water pool and things float better? I’m wondering if I should try weighing the blue float down slightly.

On mine i just make sure to get any air bubbles out from under the blue lip and only pull water from the skimmer and ot the sidewall suction. May also want to check to have the skimmer body down lower in the water to see if that helps. If mine is too high it doesnt work properly.
