this pump ok for agp saltwater 5000? 15x52 found site that says this pump is 1 hp and holds 100 lb sand.

Yes, lots of folks upgrade to the intex sand filter and are very happy with it.

idk if youd call this an up grade pkv? says 52 gpm .because its an intex that make it not a hayward,pentair ect. but it is rated up to 16 or 18000. so ok to use with salt ya think? thanks bud.

Yes, any pool pump and filter is fine to use with a saltwater pool.
