This pool has 4 Intelliflo’s controlled by Pentair Intellicenter. 2 of them are IntellifloXF’s .
They are spa booster pumps for the therapy jets.
I have everything programmed but the 2 intellifloxf’s won’t turn on when called upon.
Their screens read “display not active” so I know they are connected to the automation system, but won’t turn on. I have both of them addressed as “Pump 3” because I want them both to go on simultaneously when you activate spa jets.
Anyone have any ideas what could be wrong?
They do work in stand alone mode in service.

Not,

Yes, use #3 and #4..

Just to make sure we are both on the same page...

For the pump to run, you would assign a speed (or speeds) to the pump's speed page.. You will have one speed page for each pump.

As an example: You might want the pump to run at 3000 RPM.. So you would select the "Spa Jets" circuit and assign 3000 under speeds. You would do that for pump #3 and then do it again for pump #4..

I have an EasyTouch, so your set up page will look different, but the basic concept is the same.. See example below..

Thanks,

Thank you for your time and information. I’m looking forward to getting back out to that job and seeing if I can fix it.

Is there an interlock available on Intellicenter? For example, shutting down the water fountains if the automatic cover is engaged? Or vice versa?

Not,

Each pump must have it own unique pump address.. You can't have two pumps with the same address..

Fix that and I suspect that your problems will go away.

Thanks,

Jim R.
Tried this tonight and still no luck.

Both pumps on the Intellicenter say Unable to Communicate. Despite the displays on the actual pumps being inactive. Checked all wires. Secured an in place. Pentair support had no answers other than 2 bad intelliflos out of the box but I can’t imagine that being true. Not sure what to do next other than try 2 new comm. wires.

Not,

I assume that the system is NOT in the Service mode...

If this were my pool. I would turn everything off and disconnect all the pump com cables.

Then if possible, try a known and working cable on each pump, but one at a time..

As an example.. If the Pump#1 is the main pump and is working and running fine, then move the cable to one of the pumps that is not working.. Change the pump address to #1 and see of the not working pump now thinks it is the main pump.

I assume you are using the pump's display panel to assign the pump address to the pump.. Is that true?

I agree that is is unlikely that you have two bad cables or two bad pumps. Something else is going on.

Thanks,

Jim R.

All pumps are addressed properly and programmed. I’m in auto mode. The 2 intelliflo3’s are working perfectly. The 2 XF’s are the problem. Can’t use the intelliflo3 wires as they are different than XF’s. So that won’t work.
Will have to try brand new comm wires on Monday. It’s frustrating.

Sorry, I was not paying attention... :(

Really, I guess it could the the XF's don't work with the IntelliCenter..

What pump options does the IntelliCenter give you???

Not sure we have anyone that has them...

Jim R.

What Pump Type do you have selected for the IntellifloXF pumps?

Show me the pump page for the pump.

Thank you.

After reading that, not sure if it’s worth to go buy 2 brand new comm wires Monday when that’s likely not the issue.
