IntelliCenter and Wifi

Hi

I’d love some advice. I bought a new home that has an IntelliCenter installed. It has an Engenius ENS202EXT attached to it by u fortunately the Engenius didn’t make it through the winter.

Not sure what I need to buy. Another Engenius or something newer. Does the IntelliCenter have wifi installed already and perhaps the Engenius was just an extender? The pool equipment is fairly far from mY google mesh system but I could probably get another google AP and put it in the garage about 30 feet away.

No, the Intellicenter does not have Wifi built in.

Yikes! $500? It looks like the same Engenius piece. I wonder if I should just buy that again? Or something different from Best Buy.

Do I need an access point essentially ?

Pretty sure the Engenius is just an access point.
