Like many people with Pentair lighting, my Intellibrite 5G pool light has failed. The blue led no longer works. Other colors are ok. As I understand it from reading online, the common failure issue is the poor led light engine (619818Z) installed in these lights. The cost of a new light engine is astronomical. The lone aftermarket one is also pricey and not compatible with all the light automation.
My question: What fails on the 619818Z board? I have repaired numerous boards in refrigerators, stoves, etc. It is not difficult with a steady hand and decent solder tools. Has anyone attempted to repair the 619818Z board?
