I installed the first of three iAqua control systems in 2021 at two locations in AZ and one in DE. It's a great system for remotely controlling and scheduling operation of the different functions associated with my three pools. However, the iAqua software has a known glitch, which for at least since 2021 has been known, yet not corrected.
The problem occurs when a scheduling session is interrupted for any reason before the "save" button is selected. When this happens the software locks up and is no longer functional. Often an incoming phone call on the mobile phone being used to modify the schedule; or just forgetting to hit the "save" button can cause the lock up.
When this happens it's necessary to either manually "reset" the equipment at the control box, or call the iAqua Customer Service number and have them reset the system. In my situation there are two problems with these solutions which could be prevented if the glitch in the software was eliminated.
First, I'm often 1500 miles away from any one of the three control boxes and therefore unable to conduct a manual reset. In this case a handyman must be hired if they can be found, and at an unnecessary expense. Second, I've often been placed on "hold" for up to 45 minutes when calling iAqua customer service to have one of my systems reset. When they answer they are helpful and all know about the software problem, but are unable to do anything about it.
Until this glitch is resolved I'll not install iAqua controls at any of the other new facilities being constructed, nor will I recommend it to others.
