I Want to Block my Overlow Grate

I have this glued in grate to let out excess water but I don't want it draining my precious salt water every time it rains. I've tried to pry on it to remove it. I want to block it off. Ideas? Preferably something reversible/non destructive. Thanks

Pedro,

With the screws removed, it should just pop right out.

I removed mine and then glued a 1" plastic 'patch' to the back side. This allowed my water level to go up by about an inch before it went into the overflow.

Thanks,

Jim R.

From your pic, it appears there is grout in the area around the perimeter of the cover. Try removing that with a flat blade screw driver - carefully.

Here is an adjustable cover so you can vary the water height.
