I just got a new above ground reg pool.i though it was a saltwater pool. Can i just buy a saltwater sand pump for it n treat it like a saltwater pool.

There is no difference in the equipment for a “saltwater pool”.
Saltwater pools and regular pools are both chlorine pools. The chlorine is the sanitation method in the pool.
The only difference is where you get the chlorine from. With a saltwater pool the chlorine comes from a Salt Water Generator cell that separates the chloride from the sodium that make up the salt.
