In the market for a new heat pump

Heat pumps are a commodity that can be assembled from off the shelf parts. Many companies have come and gone in the HP business while putting their name on the label. Many pool owners have unsupported HPs from companies that no longer exist.
Decide on your HP based on the availability of local service. A manufactures warranty is worthless if they have no one in your area to service it.
Many HP companies are regionally focused and do well servicing and supporting their product within their region. I would be wary of a Washington based company support in CT.
Even the major HP brands have difficulty with service and support in all locations of the US. They are often better at their sales channels than their service channels. Wonder why?

Ok, so digging deaper it's obvious that the Hydro Royal is a rebranding of the Gulfstream Pool heaters. Anyone have experience or knowledge of Gulfstream Heat Pumps?

That explains why the address is a PO BOX.
I am not familiar with Gulfstream other than my jet.
Marc Miller. He sold me my Jandy heat pump that lasted me many years without issue.
