How to vacuum gutter

I have a perimeter overflow (infinity pool on all 4 sides) where the overflow goes into a small gutter that is only 5 in wide. The water in the gutter is only approximately 3 inches deep at the most. Unfortunately sand and debris collect in the gutter. Is anyone aware of any type of vacuum I can use? I know I can use a shop vac but then I am spending more time dumping water out then I actually do vacuuming. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Yeah, I wonder about that problem when I see folks building those gutters. :(

How about a strong hose at one end to see if it will push debris out the other side and freshen the water there so its not stagnant?

The water isn’t stagnant as it drains back to a collection tank and then is returned from there to the pool, but I don’t want to dump a bunch of debris into the pipes.
