I have a robot for the pool which works great but I can't figure out how to clean the spa. The water is clear but it accumulates a small amount of dirt at the bottom. I tried brushing it but it just seems to stay there and doesn't really go down the drain.

Before I had a suction vacuum I used this on my 15' Intex for a few years. It worked, and is half the price I paid 12 years ago! I'm suggesting this one because it's smaller than the other battery vacs I see online now. Oh, and I know it worked well.

I have the Aqua Broom Frogabog mentions above and it is perfect for cleaning the hot tub! I use it on my pool steps too bc the robot can’t crawl along the steps as they are too narrow for him.

Once a week.. when I do my pool brushing I give the spa steps and walls a good brushing and then set the valves to all pool return and all spa intake which essentially empties the spa into the pool.. then I refill it. I tried putting my pool sweep in the spa once..! That was a disaster. It was like putting a cat in the dryer.

I have used an aquarium gravel siphon to clean out the dirty spots in our hot tub -the sand and things that settle in the seat wells and/or the bottom. I just start up the siphon with the hand bulb and poke the clear tube at the dirty spots and it sucks them out and dumps out onto our walkway. If I use it a ton, I refill some water back into the tub - or if just a little I don't do anything else.

I then rinse the siphon off so I don't harm BillyBob (our Beta Fish).
